About Dr. S. Vairamuthu, MVSc, PhD
For pet families across Chennai, Dr. Vairamuthu offers something most clinics can't. He's spent more than two decades on the diagnostic side of veterinary medicine, where getting the answer right — not just guessing — decides how an animal gets treated.
For over 17 years he worked at the Centralised Clinical Laboratory of the Madras Veterinary College Hospital, helping build it into a comprehensive, modern diagnostic facility. During that time he assisted the hospital's critical care, dermatology, and referral units, handling the cases where an accurate diagnosis matters most.
His main expertise is in clinical pathology and cytology. He interprets laboratory and cytological findings, including the evaluation of tumours. Add 21 years in private practice to that, and you get a vet with a rare full view of the whole picture. He reads the lab work and he treats the patient, so the diagnosis and the care never get disconnected.
